He was a Civil War Veteran having served Co. G, 17th Illinois Cavalry. He was a resident of Algonquin, Illinois when he passed away. I do not know his date of death but I am reasonably sure it was sometime after 1900. Any information about him or where he is buried would be appreciated. His wife's name was Elizabeth Kindrew, who was born at Algonquin, Feb. 9, 1856. They were farmers living three miles from town.
