Was there a car dealership in McHenry county in 1904? I would like to find out where my great great Uncle bought his 1904 Cadillac at. I would also like to find out who the photographers were in this county in 1904. I have kind of an interesting story to go along with this. A few months ago, I was contacted by a man named Steve who was restoring a 1904 Cadillac that he had recently purchased. He said that on the dashboard of the car was an aluminum medallion that served as a license plate back then. Steve then had a license plate collector track down who the original owner of the car was and the name they came up with was an A.P. Peck of McHenry County. Steve then went on some of the Genealogy sites looking for someone that was researching the Peck name and ran across my email address. So he wrote to me, thinking this was a long-shot, but had to try anyway and much to his surprise and mine also, it turns out that A.P. Peck is Angelo P. Peck, my great great uncle of McHenry County!! Anyway, Steve says that his ultimate goal is to find a picture of the car with it's original owner. I told him that I would do my best to find this one picture that may or may not exist. Joyce

I believe it was known as Memorial Hospital in 1951. According to the 1968 McHenry County History book, the hospital started in 1914, and was originally known as The Woodstock Hospital. It currently operates under the Centegra System of hospitals. ----- Original Message ----- From: <hbrun@tds.net> To: <ILMCHENR-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, November 08, 2002 9:56 PM Subject: Name of Hospital > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Zg.2ADI/719 > > Message Board Post: > > I would like to know if anyone could help me find the name of the Hosptial at Woodstock, Illinois back in 1951.
