He married Susan Schaefer, daughter of Joseph Peter Schaefer and Catharina Daub. I also have a Young family book so will check that to see if there is mention of your Ben Adams. And also, the man who wrote the Adams book is an Adams from Ingleside, IL will try to contact him to see if he may be of help in locating info on your Ben Adams.

    2. I am looking for anyone who might be descended from Dr. Henry T. Brown and his wife, Almira M. Smith. Dr. Henry was the son of Benjamin B. Brown who came to McHenry County in the mid 1830s with wife, Anna Lawrence Way. Dr. Henry T. Brown died in 1906 in McHenry. He and his wife had at least two children: Adell and Paul D. Brown. Thank you for taking a photo for me. If you see any other Emericks, Taylors or Roses, could you let me know, I know it's a small Cemetery so just in case. When I get the photos, I'll post them on the USGENWEB site for Walworth Cty, WI so that others can also view them. Aren't digital cameras great. Many THANKS.

I will find out where the records are kept. Someone is taking care of it, the grass is mowed and such. I went by it just this June! I was back in IL visiting. I'll let you know what I find by e-mail. John Schmitt born 11 Nov 1834 Bavaria m.Anna Mary Dumerauf, must of married before 1866, because the first son was born Joseph Schmitt 17 Aug 1866 Buffalo Grove, Cook Co., Il Second son, Adam Schmitt 6 March 1868 Buffalo, IL Third son, Andrew Schmitt6 April 1870 in Huntley, Grafton, twp, McHenry Il Fourth son, Michael (Mike) Schmitt 12 Sep 1871 Huntley, McHenry Co., IL Fifth son, John Schmitt 1872-73 in Huntley, McHenry Co., IL John Smith, living on the Crystal Lake & Huntley raod was struck by lightning during the storm of last Wednesday, and instantly killed. He was standing near his stable at the time. His wife seeing him fall hastned to his assistance, but before she reached him he was dead.(farther) !OCCUPATION: Farmer-Listed on the plat book, living north of Huntley. It was the home of John Henry and his second wife Emma, (they were both named Emma). He lived there until he died in 1928.
