Could there be a connection between the Frank Brooks you are researching and the Fred C. BROOKS I am researching? Fred C. was born about 1856 in Massachusetts and his occupation was Salesman according to information provided by his wife (Anna Maria TAYLOR) for their daughter's "delayed" birth certificate that was filed many years after he supposedly left his wife and their two children (Florence and Leroy Albert). Fred and Anna were married 4 Mar 1891 in McDonough Co. I hope this helps.
