Am searching for info on my ggrandfather's, Samuel Isaac MILLER, family ancestory. The following is what I do know: Sam's father was Isaac MILLER bFeb 2, 1824 in Monroe County, Indiana son of Martin Luther MILLER/MUELLER bSept 17, 1774 in Germany and his wife Mary MYRES bMay 2, 1802. Martin and Mary emigrated from Germany to Wythe County, Virginia after marying in Germany. Do not know where in Germany they originated, when they immigrated, when they married, anything about their families or anything about their time in Virginia. Martin & Mary moved to Monroe County, Indiana sometime before Feb. 2, 1824 when their son Isaac was born in Monroe County. Isaac grew up in Monroe County, Indiana and there married Martha Jane BERRY on Feb. 19, 1846. Isaac & Martha moved to Adams County, Illinois in 1848, to McDonogh County, Ilinois in 1853 where many of their 9 children were born and are as follows: Robert W. Miller b abt 1848 William Martin Miller b abt 1853 Jameson M. Miller b abt 1855 Addison H. Miller b abt 1858 Louise Cass Miller b abt 1862 Effie Miller b abt 1864 Jennie Miller b abt 1866 Samuel Isaac b Jan 13, 1868 (my ggrandfather) Mary Martha b abt 1874 in Missouri In 1868, after the birth of Samuel Isaac the family moved to Andrew County, Missouri and finally settled in Nodaway County, Missouri where some of the desendants still live today.
