Deaths Arendell Thomas B. Arendell passed away at the home of his son, Thomas L. Arendell at l009 East Calhoun St. Macomb, Sunday afternoon, August 5, following a paralytic stroke which occurred on the preceding Thursday. His age was 8l years, l month and 20 days. Thomas B. Arendell was born to Thomas W. and Emily (Dixon) Arendell in Carthage, Tennessee, June l8, l847 and at the age of eight years left that state and came to Browning, Ill in l855 living successively in Astoria, then three miles west of Vermont, thence to Table Grove, moving from Table Grove to a farm a few miles sough of Burlinmgton and then to Bushnell. l872 he was united in Marriage with Miss Parfenia Morgan who passed away July l8 of this year. To them were born l0 children, seven daughters and three sons, two sons having preceded their parent in death. Surviving are Mrs. Eva Black Whiting, Indiana; Mrs. Amy pratt, of Bushnell; Miss Lula Arendell of Chicago; Mrs. Ophelia Zimmeril, Macomb; Mrs. Mary Wenk, Lacon, Ill; Mrs. Florence Wood, Whiting, Indiana; Mrs. Alice Dorothy, Macomb, Ill. and Thomas L. Arendell, Macomb. Mr. Arendell was engaged in farming for many years, later making Bushnell his home, the last two years being spent with is son in Macomb. Funeral services will be held at the Scudder Funeral Home, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. W.W. Meyer; and interment will be in the Bushnell cemetary.
