For many years I've been trying to locate a pamphlet written and published in 1869 or 1870 by Isaac N. VANMETER, who lived six or seven miles north of Macomb. I've run into dead ends everywhere. Since he published many copies of it, I hope a copy could still exist, and thought perhaps I ought to ask if anyone ever saw this pamphlet, called Walking About Zion, which could have been handed down in families who lived in McDonough or nearby counties. He also compiled a small hymnal which I would also like to find a copy of, called Pocket Hymns. Some of of his daughters, including his daughter Sarah RUNKLE, lived in Macomb.
