I am new to the list and wanted to post the families I am researching. I am looking for information on John Butler b. 1810 in New York, d. 1891 in probably McDonough Co., m. Almira Hughes in abt. 1834 in New York. Almira was b. 1815 in New York and d. 1900 in probably McDonough Co. John and Almira are buried in Harris Cemetery, Eldorado Twp. They had the following children: Mary Abigail b. 1836 in New York, m. (1) William McHendry in 1853, (2) Edward DeWalsh bef. 1877. Mary d. in Chicago. Cyrus Freeman b. 1838 in OH, d. 1861 during the Civil War Celestia b. 1841 in OH, m. Augustus Waters in 1857 Charles b. 1842 in OH, m. Mary Jane Barlow in 1864 Jane Ann b. 1845 in OH m. (1) Francis Marion George in 1861, (2) Jehu Hale in 1869 Emma b. 1848 in IL, d. 1905, never married Martha Permelia b. 1851 in IL, m. Robert Mitchell in 1869 Esther Ann b. 1853 in IL, d. 1923, m.
