My Father played the Fiddle and my Grandfather Jesse Morrison born in Pine Creek Twp, Ogle county,IL. played the Fiddle plus Guitar. Do not know if music is in the genes or not. But my three siblings plus my self all played two or more musical instruments. My mans cousin bought me a Fiddle in 1980's. Told my 79 yr old uncle i was going to learn to play it. He gave me a big smile and said " Dont know if you will dear thats a tough instrument to play'. But i was determined to learn one song on it and i did. On his 80th birthday party when he walked in my door i picked up the fiddle and played Happy Birthday to him. He got the biggest grin and said " I didnt think you would do it doll". Lost that uncle last winter at age 87. Now only one blood aunt left alive but neither of them knew any thing genealogy wise. Thank you. Viola.
