    1. RE: [ILMASSAC] NEW MASSAC COUNTY BOOK

    3. Hi Linda, I was so glad to hear from you. I don't yet know much about your Thomas Lewis Pryor and his descendants. Your Thomas was a brother to my Daniel Risinger Pryor, and I understand your Thomas was a twin to John. I'd love to exchange information with you and perhaps we can solve some of the mysteries and questions. I have Thomas Lewis Pryor born 12-22-1842 in IL, married 2-8-1866 to Vernetta (Netta) Lawrance (she was born 1841 d. 1949). Thomas died probably between 1880-1890, and served in the Civil War. Four brothers served in the Civil War, yours, mine, and Samuel M. Hamilton Pryor, and another I'm not sure of. Story goes 3 in Union side, 1 in Confederate side. I know parents of your Thomas and my Daniel were Daniel Farley Pryor and Nancy Louis Risinger, but I'm trying to confirm whether Daniel Farley's parents were John Alexander/Armstrong Pryor and Martha Vaughn. I have the information my great-uncle Bob gave me, but he disliked scoundrels and I must go back and document what he gave me. I also have the information from Daniel Risinger Pryor's family bible which gave the genealogy from Daniel Farley Pryor down. How long have you been working these Pryor's? I know Daniel Farley Pryor's brother, Joseph Everett, was in Pope Co in 1816; that's the earliest I find them here. The story is they were in Livingston Co KY just over the river from Pope Co but lost their land when the courthouse and the deed information burned. That is supposed to be about 1810-11. There are more stories and I'd love to share. I'm in St. Louis; where are you? The Pryor's have a family reunion each year in August in Kalamazoo, Michigan. We come from all over the U.S. The oldest family members is 92. Thanking you for your response. Barbi Diehl bdiehl@bsda-transit.org P.O.
