"How to Begin Genealogy"and" One on One Help" The Illinois State Organization, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, (NSDAR) and the local Fort Massac Chapter will be giving a workshop on how to begin tracing your ancestry and finding the necessary proof of lineage of your family tree. The morning will be a lecture/discussion on materials available to help you in your quest. The afternoon will be a One-on-One help on your individual searches. Anyone interested in learning about your family history and lineage is welcome to attend. Bring all the family history information you have: Bibles, copies of marriage license, death certificates, etc. to the meeting. This workshop is a service of the DAR. Paulie Myers will be in charge & Rose Mary Orr will be attending the meeting. There is no charge to attend. There will be a break for lunch where you may either bring a brown bag and eat in the conference room or go to one of the local restaurants. The meeting will be held in the basement Genealogy room where there are copy machine, computer with internet access, microfilm machine, microfiche machine and books on the local area that may be of help.
