    1. Re: [ILMASSAC] Directions
    2. Norma Jean Huss
    3. I will try. When you get off I-24 go West on Route 45 toward Metropolis. You will never leave Route 45, it will take you straight to Jon Street. Metropolis is small and anyone there can tell you how to find the funeral home. But you will stay on Route 45 going into Metropolis till you come to the first stop light at 5th and Ferry Streets (still Route 45). You will see the United Methodist Church, Post Office, City National Bank and a service station on the corners here. Turn right/north on Ferry Street and go about 5 blocks to 10 and Ferry Streets. Here is a 4-way stop with a house, empty lot, Hucks and Cubby Bears Pizza on the corners here. Make a left/west turn here. You will go 1 block to a stop light, go straight through here and stay on 10 Street/Route 45 heading West. You will travel around 6 blocks, past Charlie's Party Hut, past Family Dollar Store, past Casey's service station/mart (all on the left side of street). You will go under a railroad viaduct here and about 3 more blocks to Jon Street. You will pass Hittermans on the right and then a service station. One block after this service station is Jon Street. Turn right and go to the end of Jon Street and the funeral home is on the right. Hope this is not too confusing. I tried to be very specific on what to look for as you go along Route 45 through Metropolis to Jon Street. -----Original Message----- From: Racerbarb@aol.com <Racerbarb@aol.com> To: ILMASSAC-L@rootsweb.com <ILMASSAC-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Sunday, July 16, 2000 7:07 PM Subject: [ILMASSAC] Directions >Hi, >I am a fellow genealogy nut from Edwardsville, IL....and I need your help!
