In 1853, (February 16), he was married to Miss Sarah Kelley, who was born in Knox Co., KY, Sept 6, 1832, five children from this union, four who were living in 1879 (time book was published).....Calvin W., born May 8, 1856; Martha E., Sept 16, 1857; Allen, Dec. 29, 1859; and Rempy A., Sept 1, 1862. Albert was born March 27, 1855 and died April 10, 1855. Mr. Wallace owns 320 acres of land in Havana Township. Mrs. Wallace had two brothers in the Black Hawk War-----Jeremiah and William Kelley, who went from Sangamon Co., Illinois, and served through the campaign.
