I have looked through many of the cemetaries near Havana for the burial sites of Rudolph and Anna Katherine KIEF. The history of the family states that Rudolph and Anna KAtherine died shortly after arriving in Illinois in 1852 and are buried outside of Havana, IL. I have looked in Spring Hill Cemetary and they do not appear there. Does someone have access to other cemetaries in the area for a lookup? I believe the Kief's died sometime between 1852-1858. Also, where can I get a lookup in the 1855 State census for this county to check to see if they were there during that time? Thanks Tammy Russell

I believe the Tazwell County Genealogical Society has some records of cemeteries in Mason County too. It's worth checking and they have people who do look ups for a small charge too. A few miles outside of Havana there is a small private cemetary on route 136. I look at it every time I go by. I think there are others. Have you checked in the main cemetary?
