Rootsweb says the mailing lists threaded archives are finally working again. They've been up and down all year. http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ I don't know how much use that is since it still requires you to know the month of posting. The other option is the mailing list archives where you can search by year BUT you'll only get a listing of messages posted. Then you click on that and see one message, not the whole conversation. http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl I figure by 2005 they'll have it so you can do something useful like search for a subject and get the whole thread.
