H. HAMILTON born in 1809 in VA. He married Susan DEARING (DERING?) and had 8 children born between 1835 and 1853, mostly in KY. His daughter Thirissa HAMILTON married my great-grandfather Fleming SCHOONOVER. Family lore says that William J. H. HAMILTON was a Cherokee Indian.
