I am trying to locate information on an Effie Paris (Parris, Parrish or Parish). What I am looking for is the birth record of Effie so I can prove her parents. I believe them to be the same James and Almeda Parris (Paris) listed on the 1860 census for Menard Co., ILL. Further more I believe that one the marriage return a mistake was made on the father's last name, placing the mother's maiden name in the place of Paris. Can anyone shed some light on this? I have a copy of her marriage certificate from Cass Co., Chandlerville, ILL. On the return of marriage it states the following: Groom: Robert H. Dietsch (if anyone needs his information I can supply) Full name of bride: Effie Paris Place of residence: Chandlerville Age next birthday: 20 Color: White Place of birth: Havannah, Mason Co., ILL Father's full name: James Toble Mother's maiden name: Meady Toble No. of bride marriage: First Date of marriage: February 23, 1879 She signs her name as: Effie Parris But on the marriage certificate it states: Miss Effie Parrish of Chandlerville, Cass Co., ILL of the age of 19 years.
