My father Charles Arthur, called Art, was their oldest child. He was born in 1912 in Mason City, IL as were all his brothers. John, Lester, Thurman (called Bally), and Thomas.Thurman had a twin brother Herman who died in the flu epidemic in 1919 or 1920. I remember Uncle Charlie pretty well, we visited Mason City in the summer and always saw Charlie and Gert. Of course I was a child and have that kind of memory.
