Mason City, Jan. 3.-A telegram was received in this city on Wednesday notifying relatives of the death of Earl Thomas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floria Thomas residing on North Mason Street. No details were learned excepting that he was accidentally shot and died at a hospital in California. Mr. Thomas was a former resident of the city and was a World War Veteran. He was 34 years of age and is survived by his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hoffman and Juanita of Mason City and one brother in St. Louis.
