This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Yg.2ADI/30.1 Message Board Post: My father-in-law has an old photo album c. 1900-1930's. It contains photos of San Francisco, CA. There are photos of a "B. J. Smith" home at 424 E. 44th St., as well as a number of post cards sent to "Mrs. Smith." Apparently, Mr. Smith was an officer, I presume police officer; there are also a number of photos of golfers. Some "older" photos of GAR members. Many photos sent from other locations such as San Diego, Tijuana, New Mexico, IL, etc. Other names mentioned on the postcards include "Eva" and "Julia". Very fascinating, but we're very interested in getting the book back to family members. Any help locating some potential "owners" would be most appreciated!
This is very good of you. I wish more people would share. I would suggest that you go to the Rootsweb site and see if there is a list for San Francisco and I know there is one for California. Try posting your message there and I think you may get some answers. Dottie > My father-in-law has an old photo album c. 1900-1930's. It contains photos of San Francisco, CA.
