James Davis married Rachael Read in Rutherford County Tennessee in 1827. Their son was Israel Davis, and he married Lucinda Dorris in Marion County Illinois. Their daughter was Luetta Belle Davis who married George Washington Payton in Bates County Missouri. This is my direct line. Thanks Glenn Payton
