I too appreciate the ALEXANDER marriages sent by Sandy. Abner Jolliff Alexander is part of my ancestry. The marriage to Martha Jane Hawkins was a 2nd marriage for both bride and groom. Her first marriage was to Lewis Hawkins. I thought that her maiden name was Duff, but this marriage information indicates Dove. It is interesting that Eliza Farmer was a witness. Abner's brother, James H. Alexander married an Eliza Jane Farmer, but by 1878, both Eliza and James were dead. Curious who the Eliza Farmer of 1878 was. Thanks Sandy!! Dot
