CECIL PRATHER Funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix for Cecil E. PRATHER, 80, of rural Walnut Hill, who died at 7:50 a.m. Monday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion (d. 29 Jan. 1973). PRATHER, a retired mail clerk, was born at Dix on June 4, 1892, the son of Emmons and Mary (GASTON) PRATHER. He was married Sept. 9, 1939 at St. Louis to Marie CROWE, who survives. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Royace of Newport News, Va.; two grandchildren; and one brother, John PRATHER of Sandoval. Burial in Zion Grove (County Line) Cemetery.
