Hello Resa, Nice to hear from a cousin, even if by marriage! I did not have much data on Lulu, so it is great to have additional data on her. She died at Catoosa, OK and is buried at Timber Ridge Cemetery located 4 miles east of Catoosa. I could get a snapshot for you if you would like to have it. I live in Tulsa, about 15 miles away. Also, if you are interested, I have data on Lulu's children. Her oldest child was my grandmother. This has been just great!! All brought about by Jody's kindness! Thank you Jody AND Resa. ----- Original Message ----- From: Resa Hennings To: [email protected] Cc: June Woods Sent: 4/25/01 1:11:52 AM Subject: BLACKBURN Family Hi all-- I have a dab of BLACKBURNs in my database-- John Wesley BLACKBURN, Sr m Sarah MILLER a son of theirs, John Wesley BLACKBURN, Jr b 1862 IL m 29 Apr 1888 LuLu Sumner PAYNE b 22 Feb 1871 Marion Co, IL d 1927 IN LuLu was a dau/o James C. June Woods wrote: John Wesley Blackburn b. 20 Nov. 1834, was my g-g-grandfather. He would have been 48 years old in 1882 as stated in your info. I had been told he was a physician, and this seems to be the case. It is wonderful to learn additional facts about our ancestors. I did not know he was born in Tenn. George Washington Blackburn who was divorced from Avis O. Webb Blackburn was John Wesley's son and, also, brother to my g-grandfather, John Wesley Blackburn, Jr. As for Norman Blackburn, I will have to do more research to learn who he was and where he fits in. --- June Woods --- [email protected] --- EarthLink: It's your Internet.
