I found this reference to Abe Earnhart in Marion Co., Illinois: Abe Earnhart, Marion co., IL Surname: EARNHART Record Type:   Volume: 16 Number: 1 (Summer 1991) Periodical Title: Footprints In Marion County Abe Earnhart was the father of Georgia Earnhart who was married to Charles Randolph (owner/manager of the Lamont Bros. Circus). I have found this family in Salem, Marion Co., IL in the censuses 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 & 1930. I believe Georgia was previously married to a Baker and had a son Charles Baker (b. 1893). I have been unable to find Charles Randolph or Georgia Earnhart Baker Randolph in 1900 or 1910...the circus was probably on the move. Abe, his wife Florence and grandson, Charles were in Salem, tho. I'm hoping the above item in the Footprints in Marion Co. will shed some light on these folks. Also, does anyone know if there was a newspaper published in Salem from 1900-1930? If so, is it on microfilm & available through interlibrary loan?
