    3. There is an older Thomas that had twelve people living in his household in that first Marion Co. census. He is the one we're trying to find out more about because I am connected to those listed below but not sure how. My greatgreatgrandfather David Cyrus Fulton died in the Civil War. His wife Permelia FOSTER brought the three boys they had back to MArion Co in 1865 from MO where she had been living with her husband David before he died and left them with Joel Middleton and Ruth Ann Fulton Middleton. (We are told she died shortly there after of a broken heart, but don't know for sure) The letters of guardianship list Joel as their uncle. The two younger boys later petitioned the court to allow them to live with their uncle Thomas Huff. Hill Fulton is a brother of Ruth Ann Fulton Middleton and his wife Ruth E. is Ruth Ann's daughter from her first marriage. The Middletons are also related to some Fosters from Marion Co, so I'm not sure why the Middleton household was chosen. It could have been for the FULTON connectio through Ruth Ann, or for the FOSTER connection through Joel. I am stumped. But I've been chasing every lead I see. There are a couple of pieces of information here that I didn't have before. I grab every scrap of information I get on these FULTONs and save it, I keep hoping that I'llget all the jigsaw pieces and a picture will come to light. Thanks for the assist.
