Thanks, I know that my grandfather's family had a boarding house in Venice, Madison Co, IL in the 1930's at least. I don't know how many years they were there or when they started business there. My mother was born in East St. Louis, St. Calir Co, IL and then they moved to MArion Co, IL to Centralia, where both my grandfather and grandmother had family living. When my grandgather left, my grandmother stayed in Centralia and remarried there. I will look in Franklin Co for familiar names. I have many that are familiar with this family and that is part of the problem for me.
