Sandy, I have been reading about your children- Please take some time off genealogy and relax- I as you say am very interested in learning more about my ancestors-filling in the unknown, but I also understand that you are volunteering your time and it sounds like you need rest now- I can wait- When you and the children are better- here is what I have and what I am desperately looking for- Death news article of John Tustison Oct 1888 Some document showing birth of children - Bertha, Turney and Charles I believe Turney also married in Marion County - 30Apr1907- to Pearl Poston? 1878 - I have a certified copy of the Marriage of John Tustison to Adath Caroline Day on 04Aug1878 in Marion County-actually the county sent me piece of paper stating they were married in Marion County on that date. 1880 -John Tustison (Tustrom in Odin Township (June 7, 1880) name is misspelled in census) is shown with Adath in the 1880 census in Odin township, Marion County, Illinois I believe all three of their children were born in Marion County, but I have not been able to obtain records that conclusively show this- Bertha- 1879 (shown in census), Turney (between 1880 and 1887) and Charles Morris who was born 12Jul1889. I believe John was killed on 03Oct1888 - again this is only family lore and the date is not confirmed.I have heard rumors that he was killed in a coal mine accident- but I have not been able to get any real information about that I wonder if Illinois conducted a state census in Marion county in 1885?
