Jayne I have had good luck with the libraries making copies of obits for me not in IL but in other states.. i would find out if the library in the county your looking for has newspapers on Microfilm and if so how far back.. have them make copies.. i would also try the historical or genealogical societies in that area but they do charge.. all the obits ive ordered from the libraires ive contated have been free and the people so nice about it.. hope this helps if it doesnt list the library on the genweb site type it into the keyword search on your computer sometimes it will bring it up that way..and most libraires now have email, just email the reference person with your request and include your address at the bottom you might be pleasantly surprised, ive done it a couple of times and down the road have recieved what i have requested in the mail.. hee hee its kind of like christmas.. sorry sandy
