I believe my Olive Thorp/Tharp also came to Marion and Fayette Co's from Licking Co. Ohio around 1850. Do you her in your database? Helen in Idaho

Helen For what is worth with the luck that I am having this week. :( The only Thorp that I find in the 1850 Marion co census is Thorp, Amos 45 M farmer born NY Susanah 35 F born Ohio Isaac 15 b ohio Roxanna 12 b Ohio Abraham 10 b Ohio Jane 8 F b IL Susanah 6 F b IL and in the 1860 census Thorp , Susanna 51 f OH Rosanna 23 OH Araham 20 OH Ellen J 8 IL and Thorp, Charles 26 OH Mary J 22 F IL It seems to me many of the men died at a fairly young age those days.
