I have this Courson info in my files. I have a picture of Eliza Courson & Charles Hanks that I can e-mail to anyone interested. Charles Hanks was a brother to my great grandfather, Alvin Lewis Hanks. I have Eliza's parents as Jacob Courson and Eliza Coleman. I also had a great aunt, Marie Krutsinger, that married to Floyd E Courson (1904-1958). I just checked the 1910 census and it looks like Floyd's parents are Samuel & Sarah M Courson (Marion Co, Meacham Twp. household/family-39/40) I also have Floyd's obit if interested. Vernon, Illinois Notes for CHARLES EDWARD HANKS: Obituary- Unknown paper Charles Edward Hanks The subject of this sketch was born January 11,1878. He was the eldest child of Austin and Mary Hanks. He was united in marriage with Eliza Coursen, March 12, 1903; to this union was born two children one whom died in infancy. After a lingering illness of three years, he departed this life, May 31, 1910. He leaves a wife, one daughter, a mother, three brothers, one sister, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure. In his great struggle for life and health he spent nine months in New Mexico in great hopes of overcoming his afflictions, and of recovering his health, but alas, God's will, not ours, be done. He returned home to make his short stay here on earth with relatives and friend so dear. He was loved by all who knew him. He was a kind husband, father and son. Some time ago he told his mother he was going to a better place. His absence from his home and community will be missed by all, more so in the home; a vacancy is left which can never be filled. Far! ewell Charlie, God be with you till we meet again.
