    3. Is this a VFW or an American Legion Post? I am interested as an American flag appears on my ggrandfather's grave every holiday, THOMAS G. MILLER. So far I have been able to find what war he served in and I wrote to the American Legion Post several years ago but received no answer. If anyone has any way to solve this problem, please let me know. ----- Original Message ----- From: "mebrimberry" <mebrimberry@mvn.net> To: <ILMARION-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 01, 2003 6:57 AM Subject: [ILMARION] GAR > Does anyone have information related to HICKS GAR POST 255 KINMUNDY ILLINOIS? 3. To my knowledge it has never been published and I like you thought that was going to happen however, it did not. I went there looking for my aunt's grave and they were unable to find it for me. I am very, very interested in this cemetary as I have many relatives buried there and am not able to get to walk that cemetary. Should you find anything more info on this, please let me know. 3. Helen, In the Kinmundy Township, Evergreen Cemetery listings there is the following listing: Row 41, Lot 13 Eva Pearson, daughter of C.G. & E, d. 21 March 1872, 5 Mn 11 Da. Row 41, Low 14 B. H. Pearson, Chaplin 11th Ill Inf. CW, no other data. There are a number of Nichols listed in the index of my book #2, none with your first names/initials and the majority are buried at Elder Cemetery in Meachum Township. I have heard of Sandy Branch Cemetery, but it is not in Kinmundy proper or it would be in my book. Hope this helps.
