    2. I found Ann Alexander listed as Gerry Anderson's wife in the 1880 Wayne Co., Illinois census. She is listed as 58 born in Tennessee. He is 63 and born in KY. I also found in the Illinois Marriage index, Mrs. Nancy [Brewer] Emmett to John Tully, marr 22 March 1891 in Marion Co., IL. I picked up on the Emmett because in the 1900 Where Nancy Ferguson is listed there are children listed by the name Emmett and Tully. Looks like Nancy was married several time. 3. I am guessing from your email address that you are living in the Centralia area. Have you been to the library and looked for a news story about the fire in the newspapers from that time? Have you been to the Salem library to the genealogy room there? Do you have the address of the house that burned down? Is so you could do a land sales search to find out a little more about the owners of that land at that time. There should have been an obituary posted for Thomas near the date of the fire as well that should turn up in a newspaper form that time. The obit should list a lot of useful information on his family. If he was buried from a church (obit info) then there may be a church record or two to help you out as well. I don't know if it is possible that your Josephine could have been married once before marrying Thomas, but I found this record at the Illinois Archive site : MILLER, THOMAS E HUNTER, JOSEPHINE DAVIS (MRS) 08/12/1900 3 /97 5829 UNION I'm sure there is a lot more information out there, but I am new to genealogy searches myself and this is what I'd do to start. I have been told most of Thomas's children followed them there. However, all I really know is what Thomas's death certificate says that he died from a fire when either his or his brothers house burned in Centralia in Feb of 1914. 1. [ILMARION] Miller's in Marion Co., Il
    2. Janice Kay Markham
    3. Around 1901 my great grandparents along with my grandparents moved to Centralia, Marion Co., Il. I have no idea what my greatgrandfather did for a living but my grandfather was a miner. Thomas and Josephine Miller nee Ganshaw along with Charles and Elsie Miller Ford came to Centralia. I have been told most of Thomas's children followed them there. However, all I really know is what Thomas's death certificate says that he died from a fire when either his or his brothers house burned in Centralia in Feb of 1914. How do I go about finding out more about this. Can anyone help me. Thanks, I am Kay at birdmarc@egyptian.net

If you are receiving messages in the digest > mode, send to ILMARION-D-request@Rootsweb.com > Yes, this certainly does help. I received another message that gave directions, and now with your map link, I have exactly what I need. I have direct ancestors in both the East Lawn, and the Eagan cemeteries. James Davis, my third great grandfather, is in the Eagan cemetery. Another third great grandfather, Israel Davis is in the East Lawn, as is Nathan Adams, another third great grandfather. I think that their wives may be with them, but I will not know until I actually look for them. I received directions earlier on the location of the Eagan cemetery. They said it was on Charleston road just a little north of Salem. Can anyone give a little more on those directions. I will be traveling tomorrow to Salem to check these locations. I understand that the Eagan is a small cemetery, and I can eaasly walk it. But according to the map, the East Lawn appears to be a good sized cemetery. Would anyone have a list as to where these people are buried? The death dates are in the range of 1845 - 1870. Thank you Glenn Payton

    2. James Davis married Rachael Read in Rutherford County Tennessee in 1827. Their son was Israel Davis, and he married Lucinda Dorris in Marion County Illinois. Their daughter was Luetta Belle Davis who married George Washington Payton in Bates County Missouri. This is my direct line. Thanks Glenn Payton
