Hi, all. Thought I'd put in who I'm searching for again. I'm trying to find the parents of Asher Wilford Corey, born 1852 in either Ohio or Illinois. I found the father, John Corey who died in 1879 in Marion Co., Illinois but no mother. I would love to get past this road block. Margo

There were Lees in HArdin and Hamilton Counties in the late 1800's and early 1900's. My great grandmother, Laura IRBY MASON STACEY had a Lee in her family background. I have the obituary for her brother Arthur Lee IRBY from Feb. 14, 1914 where he died in HArdin Co., IL. I am told by distant family members that the Lees were mostly from Hamilton Co., IL. I hope that helps, If you want to see the obituary I can give you the link to it's location on rootsweb. Hi Resa, Yes, I did get your message for which I am very grateful. I sent an email back to you, but I never saw it posted on the list, so I assume it is still floating out in cyberspace. I would be glad to share the info I have, if you would let me know in which branch you're interested. Most of my knowledge is about decendants of John Wesley, Jr., who was my g-grandfather. I know where Lulu Payne Blackburn is buried (about 15 miles from Tulsa where I live). Are you interested in any of this? If so, let me know. June P.S. I just found the other email in my drafts folder. Hello Resa, Nice to hear from a cousin, even if by marriage! I did not have much data on Lulu, so it is great to have additional data on her. She died at Catoosa, OK and is buried at Timber Ridge Cemetery located 4 miles east of Catoosa. I could get a snapshot for you if you would like to have it. I live in Tulsa, about 15 miles away. Also, if you are interested, I have data on Lulu's children. Her oldest child was my grandmother. This has been just great!! All brought about by Jody's kindness! Thank you Jody AND Resa. ----- Original Message ----- From: Resa Hennings To: [email protected] Cc: June Woods Sent: 4/25/01 1:11:52 AM Subject: BLACKBURN Family Hi all-- I have a dab of BLACKBURNs in my database-- John Wesley BLACKBURN, Sr m Sarah MILLER a son of theirs, John Wesley BLACKBURN, Jr b 1862 IL m 29 Apr 1888 LuLu Sumner PAYNE b 22 Feb 1871 Marion Co, IL d 1927 IN LuLu was a dau/o James C. Hi Bill, I'm not researching the COPPLE line, but the third husband of my gr-gr-grandmother, Mary Ann Hooey (nee Topping) married Albert L. Copple in Perry Co IL 2 Sep 1890. According to the records I have, he was born 8 Jan 1855 in Marion Co to James and Emily Copple. If you're interested, I can give you more details about Albert and Mary Ann. Sid, glad to be of help. My records also indicate an 1833 birthdate for Malvina Nichols. This is a collateral line for me so have not spent much time proving any of it. Jerry, I don't have Eugene Franklin Helm in my database. There was a TN line of HELMs related to Rev. Joseph Helm(s) who married three times. His first wife's name is unknown. His second ? wife's name was Elizabeth WEEMS. His third wife's name was Theodosia MAXEY. He came from Maury County TN with several children to Clay County. I know that several members of this family were in Marion and/or Wayne Counties for awhile then two or three the children moved to Texas with their very large families. I did have an Anderson Helm who relocated from Fayette County to St. Clair County IL sometime in the 1850s and settled near East St. Louis. I have not gotten around to tracking his descendants yet but they were all married in St. Clair County as far as I can tell. Perhaps Eugene Franklin is one of theirs. I will keep my eyes out for him, though, and let you know if I find anything. Here are my many Marion County families that I am researching. Anybody else have any connections to these names? The families on my dad's side were mainly in Meacham and Omega townships. They are HANKS, KRUTSINGER, WILKINSON, COMBS, CRUTCHFIELD, ROBERTS, GREEN. On my mom's side, they were mainly in Kinmundy and Tonti townships. They were GRAY, BOUGHERS, STEWART, ANDERSON. Ron Hanks
