Hi, Resa, You and I corresponded a LONG time ago about Howells. I'm pretty sure I have the right person. <g> As I recall, we could not make a connection with them. I just noticed that you are related to the Payne's and Harpers. Guess what? James C. Payne and Mary A.E. Harper's son, James Albert, married my great aunt, Effie J. Allsup! She is the sister of my great grandmother, Lucy Ann Allsup who married Jesse J. Howell. Still don't think that is your Howell line, but, I might be wrong! haha..... Well, just thought I'd get in touch. I don't know if all this makes us related in any way or not <g> except maybe indirectly! But, I've got lots of info on Effie's side of the family if you're interested, and I also have info on the Harpers and the Paynes. By the way. Have you corresponded with Diane Payne? You're definitely related to her!! The only email address I have for her is [email protected] I emailed her there months ago and it did not come back but she's never answered my email, either. So, I don't know if she uses that email much if it's still valid. Last I knew, she and another lady were in charge of Sumner County, TN genweb page. IF you've never contacted her, you can try the address I gave you or do what *I'M* going to do and check that website for a NEW email address! haha..... Well, Resa, hope you didn't mind my email, and maybe you remember me by now. '+) If you'd like to trade any info, let me know! Jenny Rice [email protected] (If you don't mind, please email me here. Please check the other parts that were sent for where the BINNION name comes in. I'm not researching this line, but providing information to the other researchers on this board, for some documents that I have in my possession. Thanks. Again, the information I provided is not my line, but a copy from a book by Silas Brown WRIGHT. I do not know what his sources were, and it is not my line, so I'm not interested in pursuing and proving anything documented. Use the information as a guide only, and when you find that something is incorrect - it would be very helpful to the others that are interested in this line, if everyone would document their sources, so people can research for themselves. It is very helpful to know when information is not correct, but without sources, we are only sharing half the story. The source for the information I provided was from a book compiled by Silas Brown WRIGHT on his family line, which I documented in the postings. I do not know what research methods he used, as they were not provided - so I cannot vouch for the accuracy in them. Good luck in your research, and remember to verify everything, and not take someone's word for it!!! The information I provided has the source noted. This is not my line, so I have never researched or attempted to prove any of the information. However, I hope everyone researching these lines takes Nancy's information into consideration and uses both sources of information as a guide, not as fact, until you can prove the information. Also, I'm not sure when Silas Brown WRIGHT documented this information, or what sources were used, as they are not provided. Good luck in your research.
