I am researching the Bunfill family, who according to my ancestor's sisters obituary came to Adams County, IL in 1841 from Greene Co, IL. Thomas Bunfill came with his sister, Susannah Bunfill, and his mother and brothers. I don't know the names of his mother and brothers. Thomas Bunfill was in Scott County in 1850. He was in Bethel, Morgan County by 1851, and in Schuyler County, IL by 1870. Can someone tell me what township Bethel is in? According to her obituary, Susannah Bunfill moved to Schuyler County in 1861, and died in July 16, 1898. She's buried in Bainbridge Twp, Schuyler Co, IL. I am trying to establish the parents for Thomas and Susannah Bunfill. They might have been part of the Burnfield family in Greene Co, PA. I have seen various spellings of their surname, including: Banfill, Bonfield, Bemfil. Thomas Bunfill married Margaret Elizabeth Bridgewater in 1847 in Morgan County.
