I hate to keep bringing this site to your attention - but traffic is low right now, and I think that the subscribers to this group need to be aware of "genealogy" sites (and I use the word loosely) that may not be in their best interest. This "service" is on its 4th or 5th ISP (Internet Service Provider) this year. They keep getting dumped because they advertise by SPAM. Their service claims to be "The Web's most versatile "Award Winning" collection of genealogical databases." In fact, the site is a collection of links to other websites that people offer for free. They also have a negative report at the Des Moines, Iowa BBB, to wit: "Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to unanswered complaint(s)." This can be verified at: http://www.ancestordetective.com/watchdog.htm#Warning If you get an unsolicited email from them, report it to: abuse@lighthost.com If you get tired of me talking about these people, let me know - but it grates on me that they charge to use databases that so many of us have worked so hard to develop.
