So there is a Westminster Presb. Church in Springfield. I doubt, though, that my Smith family would have taken the carriage-ride to that city when there was a Presbyterian church in Jacksonville where they lived. I think maybe the person who wrote the obit. made a mistake and my relative (Barbara Smith, wife of Wm. K. McFarland) did in fact belong to the Northminster Church. If anybody on this list is connected with this Church, I would like to get an e-mail address for the Minister or Deacon. I have never seen any reference to Church records in Jacksonville.
