Dear Shirley, I am having real trouble finding Catherine (Kate) Smith b. 1826 Nairn, dau. of Alex. Smith & Isabella Munro. I know she marr. a BAILEY and had a son Alexander Bailey who was alive in 1932. She does not appear in any Morgan Co. census. I have no idea where she lived and died. My only hope seems to be if she is mentioned in the obits of her mother and sisters. They are: Isabella Munro Smith. Died Jacksonville Jan. 22, 1886 ( her mother) Grace Smith (unmarried) Died Jacksonville Feb. 15, 1886 ( her sister) Margaret Smith " Died Jacksonville Jan. 2, 1901 ( her sister) I know you are a super busy person. I am willing to pay for somebody to go to the Library and look in Newspaper for these obits if you can arrange it. Let me know and I will send some dollars for this. I am getting desperate.
