Because of the recent tragic events in New York and Washington, the Department requests vigilance for any unusual activity in our rural areas. An assault on our food supply is possible, through biological means, the introduction of a foreign animal or crop disease, or pests and would prove highly destructive against America. BE ON THE LOOK OUT for any unusual activity including strangers on farms, ranches and agribusinesses. Report any suspicious activity, thefts, vandalism or threats to the Sheriff’s Office or your local law enforcement authorities immediately. Agriculture has long known that a safe, reliable food supply is part of our national defense. We must be even more vigilant that in the past, protecting Texas Agriculture.

    3. 1859 would makes sense, as it would have her 17 years old at the time of her marriage. 1853 would have made her 11. Possible, but not probable. Thank you very much. By the way, what material were the stones made out of in those days? 1. [ILMAGA] William E. Pullam/Pulliam
    2. I have been researching my G-G-Grandfather William E. Pullam. The 1850 Morgan County census lists him as William Pulliam Age 22 which would make his birthday about 1828. It also lists my G-G-Grandmother Elizabeth Pulliam Age 20 birthdate is 1/27/1830. They were married 7/6/1848 in Morgan County. Elizabeth's maiden name was Rawson. Birthplace listed as Kentucky for both. They are listed twice in the 1850 census...........William Pulliam, Elizabeth Pulliam, same ages and Jesse Pulliam (my G-Grandfather) age. 1 mo. Birthplaces show all born in Illinois. Which I know is incorrect for Elizabeth as I have researched the Rawson/Rosson family and she was born in Kentucky. They had three children, Jesse Newton Pullam, Sarah Ann Pullam and B.F Pullam. Elizabeth remarried in 1860 in Cass County to John F. Mitchell. There is absolutly no information on the death or burial for William E. I have been unsuccessful in trying to connect him to any Pulliam Family in Kentucky. Seeking any information if someone might have information regarding his death and where he is buried. Also if he is connected to someone's family research. I am at a standstill and cannot research my ancestor's. I would be grateful for any help or suggestions. Thank you, Jacque Patton jjaqpot@aol.com California

    3. Hi Listers, My gg grandfather Richard Clark Rout married Margaret Jane VanZandt in Morgan County Ill 26 Nov 1846. I am unable to find any documentation for her death. She was supposed to have died while they were in California for the gold rush, and Richard gave his infant son away to a couple in California. Richard was married again in Morgan County, Mary A. Mills, 20 Oct 1859. Family legend says that Mary was killed in a cyclone (Do you have those in Illinois?). He was supposed to have lost his wife and a nephew in that storm. I can't find Mary either. Can anyone help? Thank you, Sharon Bookmyer sbookie@pacbell.net Napa, CA

    2. Shirley Aleguas
    3. Just to let you know - I added over 1250 names to the Jacksonville East Cemetery listing today. I know a couple of the files (can't remember which letters) are becoming a bit large and may be a little slow in loading, but as long as I'm still reading and updating I'll keep the number of files to a minimum - makes the update process a little quicker. Once I'm finished, I'll break up some of the bigger files to facilitate quicker loading. Happy Hunting.
