He married Ruth (Metzger) Wrightsman. Surviving are his wife, Ruth, Elkhart, 5 children, Rachel (Allen) Brubaker, Goshen, Renetta (Jeff) Brovont, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Rita (Mark) Miller, Goshen, Henry Wrightsman, Wakarusa, Arthur (Katie) Wrightsman, Bremen, 2 brothers, John (Susie Jo) Wrightsman, Anderson, Everett (Ruth) Wrightsman, Wakarusa, 2 sisters, Alice (Eugene) Brubaker, North Manchester, Clarabelle Wray, Ottawa, Kansas, 17 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, 2 sons, Kevin and Kenneth Wrightsman, daughter, Rosalee Wrightsman, great-grandson, David Brovont, brother, Robert (Sandy) Wrightsman, and a brother-in-law, Alvin Wray. Willard was a carpenter and owner of Wrightsman Carpenter Shop and later owned Crystal Valley Log Homes. He was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Goshen. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 and 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2018 all at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, corner of CR 7 and CR 40, Goshen. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Home Ministry will officiate. Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery. Hi everyone! Sorry to start another thread of messages so close to a Surname Shout Out but with the lists being down the first part of the year it threw my scheduling off. Hope you don't mind... The name of the fourth person in this list is Daniel not Danielle. I am still seeking assistance from other researchers in compiling these different families into a more acurate list. I would like to note that the elder Richard Matthews in this list owned a grist mill. This may be a vital clue in linking the elder Richard to the elder Benjamin. The elder Benjamin and his first born son Jacob Sylvester were operators of a grist mill at Fandon, McDonough co., IL. Jacob Sylvester built the mill which has been documented in two sources. Historical encyclopedia of Illinois & History of McDonough County, Illinois : together with sketches of the towns, villages and townships, educational, civil, milita. Still searching for information regarding: Andrew Matthews, age 50-60. He has an 70-80 year old woman living in his home who may be the matriarch of the family considering her age. Mary Matthews age 50-60 who must have been a widow at the time since there is no male in the home with her spproximate age and she is listed as the head of household. Daniel Matthews age 30-40 also had another male of the same age group in the home as well. Both persons having a militia registration. John Matthews age 30-40 Moses Matthews age 30-40 Sam'l Matthews age 30-40 William Matthews age 30-40 Any help regarding these lines would be of great assistance in discerning which members were related to one another.
