Hello: Although my mother's family lived in or near East St. Louis at the turn of the century, I've been unable to locate St. Clair County evidence of marriages or deaths for the following individuals, and wonder if the events occurred in Madison County, rather than St. Clair. The events were: 1901/02 death of William Stone, age 72; 1897 marriage of Julia Stone and John Montgomery; 1902 death of Julia Montgomery, age 32; 1917/18 marriage between Edna J. Montgomery (or Stopke) and Augustus Sleme; and 1926 death of Matilda J. Montgomery,age 94. Any assistance or suggestions were be appreciated. Seasons Greetings. Tom Davis
