Hi everyone, This is my first post to the list so here it goes : ) John C. DeLeon died on February 28, 1938 in Madison County, Granite City, Illinois. Prior to this he lived in Henry County, Geneseo, Illinois until at least 1901. At that point he had some big troubles and abandoned his family and disappeared. I believe the John C. in Granite City is the same man, my gg grandfather. If anyone has a connection or has seen a reference to the name DeLeon that may be helpful, I would much appreciate an email. This has been slow going since my gg grandfather was trying to evade people he knew. He might have been with a woman named Corrie T. Merwin.
