Hello folks, I'm new to this list, and was wondering if anyone knew how to find out the name of a town simply from the township number listed on a census? I'm trying to find out which town Augustus MOURAT (MAURATH) lived in. He was listed on the 1850 Madison County census on page 414, and the township was listed as 6N9W. No town name was given.
