I am looking for what was the "German Evangelical Lutheran Church" in Alton. In the 1886-1887 city directory for Alton it shows it by that name and that it is located at the "Corner of Eighth and Henry streets". I am wanting to find the records for this church. Is there a church at that location still? What's the name of it now? Where are the records? Any help would be much appreciated.
