I am wondering if there is anyone on this list whom can tell me if there is a book of any sort that has been indexed of early IL. marriages, specifically Madison Co.. I am trying to find marriage records of a Mary (Polly) HAGLER whom married a Ransom MILAN/MILAM/MILLEN. This marriage was supposed to have taken place in 1820 in Madison Co., IL. I also am looking for the marriage of Anne HAGLER to a Andrew BLACK. This marriage also was supposed to have taken place in 1820 in Madison Co., IL.. In the 1820 Census of Madison Co., is listed at RIDGE PRAIRIE: Ransom, MILAN and next to him is listed Andrew BLACK. I got these records at the Family History Center off the fiche (don't know if the spelling is correct.). It does not list how many is in the households of these men, it just has them as being at Ridge Prairie in 1820.. Listed also in 1820 Census of Madison Co. on the fiche is John Hagar, Sr. at APPLE CREEK, which is listed right before RIDGE PRAIRIE. I think it might be possible that this is supposed to be John Hagler, as the 2 HAGLER women whom married the Ransom MILAN/MILAM/MILLEN and Andrew BLACK were daughters of a John HAGLER.. If anyone knows of any indexed marriage records for early Madison Co., and if there is anyone whom knows of any info on the communites or areas of APPLE CREEK and RIDGE PRAIRIE, I would really like to hear from you.. Also I would be interested in knowing why the 1820 Census for Madison Co. on the fiche does not show how many were in the households for the communities of APPLE CREEK and RIDGE PRAIRIE..There are also some other communties on the 1820 Census, that also only have the name of persons and not how many are living in these households..
