I just added a few more links to my city directories pages. Please note I am only extracting families that I think could be linked to mine. Emma Kassell Campbell was my g g gma born either June 1, 1859, 60 or .. well seems every record is a little differnt. Her marriage license in St. Louis to George Scott Campbell 26 March 1883 spelled her name as Cassell. I am searching any and all city directories and such ... does anyone have the 1860 or 70 St. Louis census records in book form? Trying to find the possible parents for Emma and her brother Frederick Kassell is hard even using an index for the St. Louis Census. Fred's death cert sayes his father was John M. Kassell but Emma's lists a Frederick and family legend was a Jacob. (We have about ruled out Jacob) but another family member remembers a family ancestor's name as Valentine. Now to confuse things - we have found a Valentine KISSELL .. Emma and Fred were born in St. Louis - Emma and her husband lived in E. St. Louis until his death in 1912 and moved back to St. Louis ca 1914. At some point moved to Granite City .. All help appreciated.
