Does anyone have any information about the old military prison at Alton? I am searching for information on one John Doolin (Dulin) who lived at Johnson County Arkansas. Family information is that he deserted from his company in the Civil War; was arrested and was sent to Alton for incarceration. He and others later escaped and was not arrested again. I would like to find a listing or roster of those who were sent to the military prison. Does such a roster exist? Will appreciate any and all assistance. Jean Robison Coffeyville Kansas
