I just signed on to this list and would like to post surnames and see if anyone can help me. I am researching WADE and FORTH in Macoupin Co. However, the 1900 census show my gg-grandmother living in Madison Co. with George E. Patterson and his wife Lucy. It says mother so I am assuming she is Lucy's mother. Her name is Mahaley FORTH and she was born in 1829 in KY. She was the mother of Amanda who married Hamilton Duke WADE and they lived in Chesterfield. She also had a son Charles who married Ida L. and they were living in Macoupin Co., South Palmyra twp in 1900. If anyone is researching the FORTH'S I would appreciate hearing from them. My guess is that Mahaley died in the early 1900's so if anyone has access to obituaries I would also appreciate a search of them. Thanks, Pat
