Hi, Roland! Your friend wouldn't have a missing Barbara MAURER who was born August 10, 1852, and died April 9, 1872, would he? Barbara was my great great grandfather's first wife. They were married on August 14, 1870 at Freeburg, St. Clair, Illinois, by Rev. Theodore HORN at St. Paul's in Belleville. His name was Jacob HEIGELE. He then married my great great grandmother, Margaretha FISCHER in December of 1872. Jacob and Margaretha's daughter, Anna HEIGELE, married Friedrich "Fritz" KOEPPE, of Marinetown, Madison, Illinois. His parents were Frederick KOEPPE and Annie ARBOGAST.
